Monero, or XMR, is a privacy coin on the blockchain. For those who may not know, it's a crypto. I have met many anti-crypto people... this is for you too, with love.

So, why are privacy coins relevant ?

As the population is being pushed towards a cashless society and public centralized digital currencies, privacy coins become the cash of the digital space. What do I mean by that ? If society was to become cashless and every transaction was fully tracked without any privacy, humanity would quickly become slaves controlled by a technocratic A.I. software. In other words, there would no longer be any flexibility of payment and absolutely no freedom to simply transact privately, internationally. Basically, imagine a world without cash. Monero is a solution to privacy in such a scenario. Whether it does or not, it is still a valuable way to exchange with one another. it allows us to be our own bank instead of someone else's via our digital wallets while having privacy. It is an equivalence to cash, but online.

Some think that all digital currencies are bad, but there are absolutely awesome crypto projects out there if you sniff them out !
Some say that mining uses too much power... Well, compared to the centralized financial system we have now, it uses a tiny fraction.
There is also the position that crypto is another version of the pyramid as one who makes a profit at the expense of someone loosing. I'm not talking about trading crypto, but using it as a currency. I also don't see anything wrong with trading, knowing that it is full of manipulation from those with either the most funds or the fastest servers, as long as you know what you are getting yourself into.
While there are those who claim that crypto is just another version of greed, I see a level of fairness that it provides, even when not fully decentralized. I have witnessed a friend first hand, working hard in conjunction with his gifts, switch his life from delivering food on bikes for tips to making hundreds of thousands within 1 month. I saw him help others unconditionally, teaching them what he did. Crypto helped so many reach a level of financial freedom. This level of short time fully independent financial growth seems less likely in the fiat system. It's simply amazing to put oneself in a position to fully dedicate one's time to one's passion and what nourishes our soul, instead of slaving for pay at an unhealthy job that makes one unhappy and stressed.

The greatness of the blockchain is decentralization. It means that no solo entity has the power to control the many with absolute executive power.
We start dismental ing the pyramidal control structure that plagues us now by distributing resources and abundance to every human with an internet connection in a much fairer way.
